ASG Sees Growth in 2020: 3 Pillars of Resilience and Success

With the first month of 2021 nearly over, ASG is proud to announce its strong results from 2020. Our company demonstrated resilience for our own business and supported our customers in navigating the disruption of COVID-19. Employees shifted to remote work, IT infrastructures were put to the ultimate test and industries had their hands full with more data – and more privacy regulations – than ever. Despite this onslaught of challenges, ASG thrived.

Our success stemmed from a commitment to three pillars: product innovation, growing the channel program and focusing on thought leadership. To celebrate our momentum heading into 2021, here is a quick look back at how we got here.

  1. Product innovation

The need for a secure IT infrastructure grew exponentially in 2020. As remote work multiplied nearly overnight, companies required – and many lacked – visibility and governance tools to protect their most important asset: information. Content and data management were no longer just top priorities, they became essentials for survival. To support our customers, ASG focused on enhancing our products to serve these increased needs:

  • ASG released two major updates to the Mobius Content Services platform. With Mobius 10.1 and 11, ASG introduced new and improved support for Microsoft365 and containerized deployment solutions to enable customers to embrace remote work demands and accelerate their cloud strategies.
  • ASG launched ASG-TMON® PA Scope, a modern and intuitive cross-platform IT operations and performance management solution.
  • ASG also launched ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator, introducing new DevOps toolchain and value stream management support enabling IT leaders and teams to extend and scale their DevOps initiatives across platforms, including mainframe.

This innovation was recognized by the market. In November 2020, ASG was included for the third year in a row by Gartner, Inc. as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management Solutions. In October 2020, ASG was awarded its first patent for Publication of Applications Using Server-Side Virtual Screen Change Capture. The technology behind the patent will benefit enterprises moving from their legacy environments to modern remote work approaches while maintaining a high level of security, control and isolation – an especially critical need as enterprises continue to address the implications of remote work. ASG also won fifteen industry awards, including:

  1. Customer Growth and Channel Success

In 2020, ASG established new and built on existing customer relationships across the globe – including IMT –  thanks to the channel through its industry-leading partners. This growth was driven by new innovative solution offerings by our partners, several new partnerships and the expansion of the ASG Business Partner Program to new markets in 2020, including Latin America and Europe.

  1. Engaging Thought Leadership

Another way ASG was able to serve is customers, partners and prospects was through delivering insightful thought leadership in the absence of in-person meetings and conferences. We shifted our annual EVOLVE conference to a virtual event, which took place October 6-7 and hosted 500 attendees from across the globe. Other key thought leadership highlights include:

  • Digital: Disrupted: Launched in August 2020, ASG’s inaugural podcast, Digital: Disrupted, features host Paul Muller having conversations with industry experts focused on the unique angles of digital transformation.
  • Arch2Arch: Launched at EVOLVE20, Arch2Arch is an interview series featuring conversations between ASG CTO Pascal Vitoux and ASG product architects focused on the daily challenges faced by architects, exciting innovations being explored, new technologies and solutions on the horizon.
  • Women Leaders in Technology Group: Based on a staple program at ASG’s annual EVOLVE conference, ASG launched an ongoing program that brings together women who work in all facets of technology from across ASG, its partners and customers and beyond. The initiative includes quarterly conversations hosted by ASG’s Senior Vice President of Marketing Mary Wells with special guests, as well as a LinkedIn group for ongoing mentorship, collaboration and insights.

Despite the challenges presented in 2020, ASG’s continued growth is a testament to our incredible team, partners, customers, channel and the demand for our solutions. We look forward to 2021 bringing new opportunities to improve and evolve alongside our customers, keeping the momentum strong for another year ahead.
