ASG Software Solutions, a recognized innovator in IT software solutions, today announced that its Application Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) solution, ASG-DDM, was named a Value Leader by Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) in its “EMA Radar™ for ADDM: Q4 2013” report. ASG’s solution also received a Strong Value ranking and Most Improved award, building on its previous recognition for Best Vision and Design in EMA’s December 2010 ADDM report. Authored by Dennis Drogseth, VP of research at EMA, this year’s report honored ASG out of 10 innovative vendors.

While vendors have made significant advancements in SaaS and ADDM functionality, according to EMA’s report, ASG-DDM has been the only solution to successfully combine the two. The report cited ASG’s solution as a product “definitely worth your short-list of attention,” recognizing it as the Value Leader in service-aware asset management and change impact management. The highly scalable solution monitors usage rates of installed applications and provides support across all asset-related domains.

ASG-DDM led all vendors in its support for custom applications and ranked among the top four in scalability, interoperability and integration in change management and change impact analysis. Additionally, the solution received Strong Value recognition for performance management, and obtained high marks for its support for custom applications, lifecycle application interdependencies (including development and dev/ops), and integrated automation.

“ASG was already an industry leader in EMA’s ADDM Radar from Q4 2010, with an award for Best Vision and Design. And, since then, ASG has furthered its capabilities in a variety of ways, including support for SaaS, significantly enhanced capabilities for cloud and virtualization, and powerful data normalization capabilities that are distinctive in the industry,” Drogseth noted in the report.

“As IT evolves and organizations continue to deploy and adopt increasingly complex cloud and virtualization environments, they’re requiring much more visibility and insights to ensure the success of these initiatives,” said Renaud Bonnevie, product manager at ASG Software Solutions. “To meet those requirements, we’ve continued to develop ASG-DDM into the cost-effective, scalable and architecturally supportive solution that it has become.”
