"Our aim is to become the software vendor of choice for Chinese business and government organizations. This strategic partnership is a significant step toward this goal. I am impressed with SRIE’s vision and proven execution capabilities. SRIE offers a large nationwide distribution network, with 14 major centers and more than 50 regional offices. ASG is making a strong commitment to this partnership by providing long-term, key management and technical personnel to SRIE and by conducting joint marketing initiatives."
- Arthur Allen, ASG President & CEO
In March, 2004, ASG announced that it has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with
SinoRail Information Engineering Group (SRIE),
a leading IT solutions provider owned by the Ministry of Railways (MOR) of the People’s
Republic Of China (PRC). Under the terms of the agreement, more than 150 of ASG’s enterprise IT
software solutions will be made available to SRIE’s large base of clients throughout the PRC,
enabling them to better manage, monitor and extend their enterprise systems.
SRIE and the Ministry of Railways’ Information Technology Center will
utilize ASG’s solutions to
manage and optimize the systems and legacy applications of their nationwide
IT networks. ASG and SRIE are currently building solution demonstration
centers in Beijing and Shanghai to showcase the in-production use of
ASG software solutions to SRIE’s clients and other government entities.
Zhonghao Li, Chairman of the Board of SRIE said, “I am excited about
this partnership because it is in alignment with our strategy to expand
our business beyond systems integration and hardware distribution. We can now
offer our clients ASG’s best-in-class enterprise software solutions.
This brings additional value to our customer relations and maximizes
the business scope of our existing business units. As the Chinese market continues
to experience tremendous growth, I strongly believe that ASG’s concept
of providing high quality software solutions at very competitive prices and
licensing terms will distinguish us favorably from the competition.”
