Mariana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She moved to Spain with her family when she was only 2 years old. She attended the Maria Auxiliadora middle school and the Margarita Salas high school. Since she was very young she mainly practiced two activities for approximately 7 years, dancing and horse riding. Mariana discovered the game of golf during a summer vacation in Novo Sancti Petri, Cadiz (Spain) when she was 12. Due to her brilliant academic curriculum and her great golf career, she got the opportunity to go to college in Auburn University, Alabama (USA) with a full scholarship. Auburn’s golf team belongs to the NCAA Division I. She participated on this league for 4 years and she graduated in International Business with a Finance concentration in May 2009.
